We are making a short film of around 10 minutes which revolves around an intense argument between an older father, and his daughter in her thirties. The film will be in black and white because it strengthens what is being told.

Films that contain similar conflicts/concepts are 'Autumn Sonata' (1978 - Ingmar Bergman), and 'The Father' (2020 - Florian Zeller).

The conflict in the film will be verbal, but tears will be shed. The film will take place in the simple set of one living room.
We are always open for improvisation if it strengthens the film!

What do we offer?

It will be a fun project in which you, as actors, will be able to go all out with your emotions, due to the intensity of the conflict.

Aside from the fact that this project will give you more experience, it will also be a beautiful, poignant film to add to your portfolio or body of work.

Description
Because of the intensity of the conflict, we're looking for actors with English as their mother tongue.
We're looking for:
-An Actor for the role of Michael, a man with an appearance of 60-90 years old.
Michael is unhappy but proud, now in the autumnal years of his life. In the film he finally breaks.

-An Actress for the role of Laurie, a woman with an appearance of 30-40 years old.
Laurie is a hard-working woman who is content, but for her childhood and her relationship with her father. She will finally spill long-held resentment in the film.

There are obviously more details and nuances to these characters, but those will be provided later.
